- Preparation of the Summary of Central Data by the Office of Planning & Analysis
- Visit of External Review Committee (ERC) and writing of their report
- Writing of Senate Liaison's (SL) report
- Unit's response to ERC and SL's reports
- DIVCO's response to all review documents, including the reports submitted by each of the five Senate committees which participate in program reviews (BC, CAPRA, CEP, GC, SWEM)
- Culmination letter is written by PROC and sent to the unit, delineating PROC's expections for additional strategic planning and follow-up activities by the unit
